Plumbing Leak Causes Significant Water Damage to this Glendale Home

A Supply line in the attic ruptured spewing water through a large portion of the crawl space and walls. This Category 3 water damaging event to this Glendale home called for rapid water removal to mitigate damages. After stopping the leak, a demolition was in order because of the sagging ceiling panels and waterlogged walls. Our SERVPRO of Litchfield / West Phoenix WRT and ASD applied structural drying crew made short work of the demolition. We used sheeting to set up a containment barrier to enhance the rate of evaporation and reduce the overall drying time. We measured the exposed structure with moisture meters and an infrared camera to assure a return to standard moisture content.
